Developing the young Workforce Fife

Eligibility: Primary, Secondary, 16-24 years old

DYW is an employer-led programme which makes it easier for employers to connect with young people in schools and colleges across Fife. DYW employers provide inspirational opportunities for young people to help develop the skills they need to succeed in the world of work. Fife Council - Employability and Supported Employment Services - Employability Access Support for Young People

Eligibility: 16-19 years old NEET

EASYP includes Fife Council's Supported Employment Service, Communities and Neighbourhood Services, Education 16+ keyworker team. EASYP helps young people by providing: *1:1 support at all stages of the journey to work * Employability training/work experience * Support with personal, family and health challenges holding people back from moving on * Support to find and stay in work * Access to funding to help pay for things such as clothing, health/lifestyle resources and other provisions that improve people's chance of finding work *Structured learning in the local community * Digital resources/skills training

The Salvation Army - Employment Plus

The Salvation Army's Employment Plus service offers tailored support to help participants become job-ready. Our aim is to help job seekers to get a job and stay in work. Our 1:1 support empowers individuals to overcome obstacles they face professionally and personally, and to fulfil their life ambitions. A blended, flexible approach is offered, allowing for face to face meetings within our centres, online sessions, and telephone support.

Falkland Stewardship Trust

Offers a range of employment opportunities for people who are new to the work environment and/or have multiple barriers to accessing employment. Opportunities include retail, outdoor and cafe work.

CR Smith - Hand Picked from CR Smith

Hand Picked from CR Smith provides employability training to young unemployed people through its Hand Picked Academies and paid work placements through Employer Sponsored jobs. it also helps to prepare young people for leaving school through cooordination and delivery of Hand Picked for schools, an employability programme aimed at senior phase pupils.

Higher and Further Education Qualifications

Over 400 courses available in 40 different subjects areas, including business; engineering; digital skills; child,health and social care; culinary arts; creative media; performing arts; construction; creative industries; sport and fitness; and tourism and events.

Venture Trust - Inspiring Young Futures

Eligibility: 16-24 years old

Inspiring Young Futures is an innovative personal development and employability programme, combining intensive development experiences using Scotland's wilderness as the catalyst for change, with flexible community-based outreach. This enables participants to reflect upon life-changes anf supports them to develop the skills needed to build positive futures.

LinkLiving - Moving On Up

Eligibility: 16-19 years old

Moving On Up offers intensive tailored support covering mental-health, resilience, and skills for life for up to 52 weeks. The programme enables young people aged 16-19 to develop their human capital, resilience and to be ambitious for their futures. MOU focuses on those with a history of struggling to engage with education who are leaving school early with poor/no qualifications, and those who dropped out of school during the pandemic.

Greener Kirkcaldy - NOLB Brighter Futures

Eligibility: 19-24 yeard old, referral only through BRAG

Brighter Futures is part of No One Left Behind - the Scottish Government's approach to tackling employment issues across the nation. Working in partnership with BRAG Enterprises, Fife Voluntary Action, Frontline Fife, Kingdom Works, Clued Up, Youth 1st; CARF and FEAT, it aims to ensure those who experience complex and multiple barriers to moving into wok are not 'left behind'. Greener Kirkcaldy provide taster and placement activities in cooking and food; growing; and bike maintenance.

Brag Enterprises Ltd - NOLB Brighter Futures

Eligibility: 19-24 years old, residing in Fife and unemployed

Supporting young people with a variety of engaging provision designed to progress towards sustainable employment. Keyworkers provide vaarying and bespoke activities including job brokerage. Whilst focuing on goals/aspitations the young person is at the centre of all decisions. Brighter Futures incorporates multiple delivery partners - Kingdom Works, Fife Voluntary Action, Clued Up, Youth 1st, Greener Kirkcaldy, FEAT and Frontline Fife to allow us to provide specialist and focused support to at every stage.

Skills Development Scotland - School Service

Eligibility: Secondary school

Career Management Skills empower individuals to make informed decisions and maximise their potential. Qualified careers staff support young people to develop and use these skills to access opportunities including volunteering, training, college, and employment. Qualified Careers Coaches are in every secondary school in Fife. They support pupils with making subject choices, applying for opportunities, deliver group work sessions, meet with pupils 1:1 and attend events such as parents evenings.

The Prince's Trust - Start Something Employability Pathways for Fife's Youth

Eligibility: 16-30 years old

Using a casework approach, we support young people to gain work experience and expand their personal and social development skills to progress into a positive destination. We provide young people with person centred, 1:1 support to help them discover their potential and set goals for their future. This support will complement our in-person employability programme, known as 'Get into'. Get into provides young people with sector specific skills and experience to enable them to move into a sustainable job outcome. Fife Voluntary Action - Volunteering into Work - Youth

Eligibility: 16-24 years old

Fife Voluntary Action provid 1:1 support for young people aged 16- 24 to overcome barriers in their lives and to achieve their goals. They support young people to gain volunteering experience, as well as to build confidence, access training and progress to education or paid employment.

Fife Council - Employability and Supported Employment Serives - Works Better

Eligibility: 19-25 years old who experience disabilities, health conditions and mental health issues; NEET

Works Better connects with young people who need support with their life and work planning, helping them engage on an employability pathway. Works Better helps young people design a personal development and employment plan that takes account of their circumstances and the challenges and barriers that might be holding them back from fulfilling their potential. Works Better supports young people throughout their journey to work and on-going support in work.

Eligibility: 16-19 years old who have left school
