Six years ago, Fife Job Contract (FJC) met Clare Sloan at Ardross Farm Shop. As a new employer to the FJC support was provided for wages, training and recruitment. This is when we met Gemma Thompson. Gemma not only surpassed at her work, but she has also built relationships with the customers and the team. During her first 6 years she took part in the filming for the Fife Youth Job Contract.

Since then, Gemma has been a regular presence at Ardross Farm Shop. Her knowledge and understanding of the business has grown substantially.  

 I got the chance to catch up with Clare and Gemma recently and was really placed to see Gemma enjoying her work and engaging with customers; always with a smile.  

Clare was very pleased with the support she received from Fife Job Contract and is hoping to engage with us again and recruit another young person into sustainable employment.
