Where Life Chances Partnerships Open Doors 

Life Chances is the new alternative recruitment programme, which opens doors to support people across Fife into employment, through partnership engagement. Working in unison with Fife Job Contract, Fife Council directorates, Anchor Organisations, and the 3rd Sector this unique incentive is making a difference. 

Fife Gingerbread is working in partnership with Fife Council to provide a paid placement.  

We met with Louise (trainee) at Fife Gingerbread, who is starting her training, looking to move into a paid placement as a Pupil Support Assistant PSA. Fife Gingerbread co-ordinate the essential training required before the candidates can start within a school.  

Part of this training involves paediatric first aid and the completion of a PVG. 

Louise said,’ the training is good, and I am really enjoying every aspect. I am looking forward to starting my placement, with this experience I will be better equipped and prepared for a career as a PSA.’
