Caramel & Crumbs are looking to recruit a Cafe/Bakery Assistant/Barista, to be based in Markinch, Fife.

About Us 

New cafe/coffee shop opening in Markinch, Fife, specializing in Artisan baked goods. Food is made and prepared in the on site kitchen. barista style coffee and other beverages - both sit in and takeaway options available.

About the Role 

Cafe/Bakery Assistant/Front of house food prep/Server and Barista. (training provided)

Required Skills

• Experience working with kitchen equipment ie small appliances, cookers/ovens and beverage machines is desirable.
• Creative skills are an advantage 
• Skills working in a busy, fast-paced environment with ability to multi task are desirable (but not essential initially)

• Friendly, approachable and a willingness to learn
• Punctuality and reliability 
• Versatility 
• Be aware of good personal and housekeeping hygiene 
• Patience and an understanding of others needs 
• Ability to work as a team member but also with little or no supervision at busy times
• Aware of their own and others safety around cooking/food prep areas 
• Due diligence 

Required Qualification Level

• Some experience working with baked goods/pastry/dough etc (can be formal or self taught)

Preferred Qualification Level

• Some previous experience working in the Hospitality industry is preferred
• Barista experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
