Fife Council - Employability and Supported Employment Service - Academy Training Programmes
Eligibility: All unemployed

Fife Council Academy Programmes provide sector-specific training for business growth areas leading to recruitment opportunities. Sectors include Construction, Hospitality, Care, Horticulture and Rural Skills. Academies support people facing multiple disadvantages in the labour market with individual support to find, apply for, secure and stay in paid work. Academy Programmes can be tailored to suit business demands and provide a flow of suitably qualified and experienced individuals into growth industries.

Skills Development Scotland - Apprenticeships

SDS administers the Scottish Apprenticeship family on behalf of the Scottish Government. There are three types of Apprenticeship available: * Foundation Apprenticeship help young people gain valuable, real-world work experience and access work-based learning while still at school. * Modern Apprenticeship let individuals work, learn and earn. There are over 100 types of apprenticeship available from financial services to science, with individuals working towards an industry recognised qualification while gaining on-the-job experience. * Graduate Apprenticeship provide work-based learning while studying towards a University Degree. They are available in growth industries including Cyber Security and Early Learning and Child Care.

Food Works! builds confidence, develops knowledge and improves skills in food to help participants into education, volunteering or employment. Our programmes are held in a friendly working environment which mirrors aspects of the workplace. Participants can also volunteer with us ot build on their experience and learning. We are an Approved REHIS Training Centre and participants can access accredited training in: *Elementary Food Hygiene *Food and Health (Basic nutrition) *Allergy Awareness

Fife College - Foundation Apprenticeships
Eligibility: School Pupils only

As a school pupil, a Foundation Apprenticeship (FA) gives early exposure to the world of work, helping to develop the skills, experience and knowledge needed on leaving school. It is the chance to get a head start in a career by gaining an industry-recognised qualification, work on real projects and broaden careeroptions. FA opportunities are available in accountancy, business, construction, creative and digital media, engineering, IT, hospitality, social services and healthcare.

Rural Skills Scotland Ltd - Grounds for Growth
Eligibility: 25+ years old unemployed

The Grounds for Growth project looks to introduce those who are looking for work to the idea of woking in the land-based sector. The current model involves a 5-week voluntary programme followed by uo to 12-week paid placement. Participants receive certificates in Health and Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid + F and NPTC Certificate in Brush Cutter and Trimmer.

DEAP Limited - Individual Training Account Delivery

Level 1 Health & Safety Award in a Construction Environment and CSCS training and test, both a requirement for obtaining a Construction Industry Scheme Card. Also, a range of online accredited training which can improve chances of gaining employment in the CARE sector, including Moving and Handling, Person Centred Care, Hand Hygiene and many more. All courses are fully funded by ITA if eligible.

Fife Council - Employability and Supported Employment Service - Locality Response Team (LRT)

LRT provides paid and unpaid work placements for people who need support to improve their work chances. People take part in LRT squads working on community environmental projects with accredited and non-accredited training relevant to the working environment. People can learn skills in landscaping, grounds clearance, fencing, paving and general outbuilding construction. Squad employees receive 1:1 support to help them prepare for, find, and stay in work.

A Modern Apprenticeship (MA) is a job which lets people earn a wage and at the same time gain an industry-recognised qualification. For employers, modern apprenticeships help develop their workforce by training new staff and upskilling existing employees. The Ecology Centre

Our Employability projects work alongside Fife Council and SCVO to deliver employment opportunities for people who are affected by long-term unemployment, supporting them to gain skills and knowledge within the third sector. Opportunities also include volunteering and cover hospitality and rural skills.
