Skills Development Scotland - All Age Service

As the national skills body, Skills Development Scotland helps people gain skills to manage their career throughout their lifetime. Support includes: l Choosing a career, preparing for employment, and progressing in the workplace l Up-skilling – access to training and funding l Adapting to change – redundancy or transferring skills to something new. SDS delivers face-to-face career information, advice and guidance, as well as support through the web service – www.myworldofwork.co.uk

Fife Council - Community Job Clubs

Welfare support assistants help people with benefits, job searches and applications. There is no referral needed. Those needing the support can attend without an appointment at the community job clubs which operate across Fife. If someone cannot attend a job club, they can get help on the telephone numbers for each area. Job Clubs take place in: Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Levenmouth, NE Fife and SW Fife

Fife College Community-Based Adult Learning

Courses in local venues across Fife, which can help people improve skills for learning, work, and life. Our courses allow people to study close to home and get introductory level qualifications needed to progress on to further courses. Students can also get help with employability skills, as well as support and advice on how to achieve their job goals.

Brag Enterprises Ltd Fife-ETC Spring Forward

Spring Forward supports over 25’s into a positive progression route. This project provides help for those individuals who are not currently interacting with mainstream services to access and achieve sustainable jobs.

We work with other organisations and funders such as SCVO, DWP to provide work experience and volunteering opportunities across the business - sales, operations & administration.

Department for Work & Pensions | Jobcentre Plus

Jobcentre Plus supports claimants to access benefits and in looking and preparing for work where they are able. They work with claimants and partners offering support and training to help to fill skills gaps, agree a work search plan through the Claimant Commitment and supporting people in their job search. Jobcentre Plus also supports employers by advertising and promoting vacancies.

Kingdom Works

Kingdom Works supports individuals with practical skills and access to certificated training courses. Kingdom Works provides work experience, job brokerage, advice on interview techniques, application forms and starting and keeping a job. The team works closely with local employers and supports employers to deliver community benefits in employment and training. Kingdom Works delivers a range of Sector Based Work Academies in Construction, Hospitality, Care, Security, Warehousing and Sports. We also offer Social Football, Mixed Martial Arts, and other group sporting activities to help promote good health and wellbeing. Working in partnership with Fife-ETC

Link Living - Link Academy

Link Academy has an excellent track record of supporting people to develop the personal resilience, practical and emotional skills necessary for moving onto their next steps in learning, personal development and accessing further education and employment. The range of supports are delivered through a combination of group work and one-to-one interventions, along with access to accredited training as part of its status as a learning academy and SQA Centre.

Skills Development Scotland - PACE Redundancy Service

Partnership Action for Continuing Employment (PACE) is a partnership dedicated to supporting those who have been made redundant or are facing redundancy. SDS Career Coaches provide information, advice, and guidance to enable people to take stock, consider their options and make decisions that are right for them. Resources are available for individuals to produce and update CVs and to get help with application forms and preparing for interviews.

Fife Voluntary Action Volunteering into Work 19+

Part of Spring Forward, the project supports clients to engage with a key work to improve confidence, mental wellbeing and overcome barriers to access volunteering, which in turn can improve chances of securing paid employment. this support can empower individuals to achieve future financial inclusion through employment. Volunteering can provide references, evidence of training, upskilling and achievement of personal goals, It can create strong relationships between individuals and their local communities.
