Across Fife there are so many different types of apprenticeship and one specialty is to train as a butcher and complete your apprenticeship via the Scottish Craft Butchers. This is exactly what Brandon Hands is doing with Andrew Kirk Butchers. Brandon is currently working on completing his Level 2 with the support of Andrew Kirk and his team. This top-quality butcher offers a vast range of innovative and traditional product. Brandon is learning the skills in all areas. 

Although Brandon has faced challenges outside of work, he has brought a positive, pleasant attitude to work and has good customer service qualities. 

 

Andrew Kirk offers exceptional training along with being an award-winning butcher, winning three golds for their steak pie, steak pie with sausage and their chicken, ham and leek pie in 2023.  

 

Offering an apprenticeship can be a challenge to find and support the right person. Fife Job Contract offer the support through designated funding offers, support with recruitment and a designated Employability Officer for the first year.
