Kerr faced a challenge, after being made redundant he was looking for an employer to support him to complete his apprenticeship. Thankfully, AM Reid stepped up and supported by the Fife Job Contract Kerr settled into working with a new team.  

Jordan, Director – AM Reid, ’Kerr has been getting on great. He has fitted into the team well. In terms of progress, he is working well in the bathroom squads and is getting a wide range of works including boiler installations, radiator's and getting to see Heat Pump installations.  

The next steps for Kerr, is some jobs on his own and has been added to the fleet insurance this year to drive the vans.’ 

Kerr is enjoying the work, with 6 months under his belt with his new employer he has increased his knowledge and skill base exponentially. Having a supportive employer and a great time has made an amazing difference and the support from the Fife Job Contract has made a large impact. 

‘Finishing my apprenticeship is fantastic and I am hoping to remain with AM Reid,’ indicated Kerr.
