Fife Job Contract works with employers from all sectors across Fife. Providing support with recruitment and potential for specific funding support. Local employer AM Reid Plumbing & Heating Ltd is working in partnership with Fife Job Contract to support an apprentice.
Becoming an Apprentice provides you with training and a career. To earn and learn that is the key, completing training at college and put that into practical application with support and guidance from your employer is the foundation of a successful apprenticeship.
Devin Holligan intends to do just that, starting at an entry level with AM Reid. Devin is getting a solid foundation to build on. From maintenance and use of tools to health & safety Devin has been supported each step of the way. All is going well, and Devin is bringing his enthusiasm and willingness to learn every day.
Devin will begin his full apprenticeship in August, taking a solid grounding in expectations and application. This will prove invaluable as he progresses through his apprenticeship.
Jordan Laird Director had this to say.’ We were passed onto the Fife Job Contract from our plumbing federation SNIPEF. We have been looking at taking on another apprentice for a couple of months now and the Fife Job Contract had allowed us to employee a young person and see if they are suited to the trade and if the trade suits them. This scheme has allowed us to identify what we feel is the right candidate to carry out a 4-year plumbing & Heating Apprenticeship"
If you are an employer or one of our Service Directorates, we can support you for recruitment, we can help promote additional jobs, Modern Apprenticeships and provide support on multiple fronts. For eligible clients there may be funding support available. If you would like more information, drop us an email at – FJC@fife.gov.uk
